Meet the Designer
Valencia founded SWANKEMON during her senior year of high school while studying theater arts. Her passion for storytelling, character development, and visual design highlighted the strong connection between these concepts and her personal style. As she transitioned into college and focused on fashion design, she further explored how clothing can convey character and emotion, much like a theatrical performance. Valencia envisioned a world where individuals can express their uniqueness through design, akin to the way stars shine on stage.
My Artist Statement
For me, fashion is a performance. A way to express ones identity and attitude. I aim to create pieces that not only look incredible but also evoke confidence and charisma. When someone puts on one of my designs, I want them to feel powerful and get inspired by their own form of individuality. Why care what anyone thinks? You're a rockstar after all.
